It’s a family-owned and family-run business that’s been around for generations. The food options here are always fresh, and you’ll love the homemade Sonoran-style Mexican dishes.
You can start with the spinach con queso served with flour tortilla chips, along with the Albondigas Soup, which is a spicy meatball soup with vegetable broth. Then you can try the Diablo Burro Dinner, with the Spicy green chili burro smothered in a spicy white cream diablo sauce, and then served with rice and beans.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, 9712 W Northern Ave, Peoria
Start out with the beef carpaccio, though you might also want a taste of the sweet chili calamari. Then go for any of the signature steaks on the menu—there are simply no bad choices here.
Little Saigon Restaurant, 7016 N 57th Ave, Glendale
With a name like “Little Saigon”, you know that this is for Vietnamese cuisine. And once you get a taste, you’ll know why this place is so highly regarded.
That’s not surprising, as this is a family-owned and family-operated restaurant that focus on homecooked, authentic Vietnamese food. It started out in a Phoenix mall back in 1988, but it moved to a more charming location in historic Old Town Glendale.
You can start with 6 pieces of the deep-fried egg rolls, and go with the Pho Tai Nam that features sliced beef and beef brisket.
This is where you go for daytime dining, as the menu focuses on breakfast, brunch, and lunch. For breakfast, they have fluffy buttermilk pancakes and corned beef hash, and you have to try the snow pea and mushroom omelet.
As for lunch, don’t worry—they have burgers and sandwiches galore!
