Bakers Square Prices: How much is Bakers Square?
Americans like a mobile lifestyle in the sense that they should be able to eat their meals on the go yet still enjoy the kind of food that their grandmothers prepared for them, so to speak. The combo of on-the-go meals, delicious quality, and reasonable prices is addressed by the hundreds of delis, fast-food joints and fast casual restaurants across the country. These are, in many ways, an American invention as a result of the desire for a mobile lifestyle. Below are the latest Bakers Square menu prices.

History
Bakers Square actually started as a restaurant then known as Mrs. C’s located in Des Moines, Iowa in December 1969. The restaurant was known for its pies so it’s no wonder that Pillsbury purchased it and renamed it Poppin’ Fresh Pies, as well as opened more locations. The ownership of the Poppin’ Fresh Pies chain changed hands when VICORP purchased it from Pillsbury in 1983. VICORP, the owners of the chain of Village Inn restaurants, also renamed it Bakers Square.
What They’re Famous For
The chain is famous for its wide selection of American classics for breakfast and lunch, thus, its popularity among professionals, businessmen, and students with an on-the-go lifestyle. Of course, the restaurants also offer dine-in services so people can also linger over their meals and snacks while enjoying the friendly vibe and fast service.
Why Eat Here
Bakers Square offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch dishes and desserts that will satisfy the craving for delicious and nutritious American classics served in generous portions. The dishes are given the contemporary touch that the young crowd prefers in their meals while still staying true to the classic traditions, a must for the older crowd in the restaurants. The meals also come in generous portions so sharing is possible although once you taste the delicious flavors, you probably will not want to share anyway.
The menu items include but aren’t limited to the following items:
- Skillets and scramblers are the signature dishes of the Bakers Square chain for good reasons. Each mouthful evokes breakfasts served in a perfect way – the eggs cooked according to your preference, the bacon strips fried to a crisp, and the vegetables cooked al dente. Each dish is served with your choice of buttermilk pancakes, toast, bakery muffin, English muffin, or biscuit, even fresh fruit. The choices under this category include the Ultimate Skillet with bacon strips, sausage links, ham, Yukon gold potatoes, and eggs; the Chicken-Fried Steak Skillet with chicken-fried steak, gravy, diced onions, Yukon gold potatoes, and eggs; and the Veggie Scrambler with two eggs scrambled with mushrooms, cream cheese, and a variety of vegetables.
- Breakfast menu items are served with fresh fruit or hash browns as well as your choice of buttermilk pancakes, toast, bakery muffin, English muffin, or biscuit. Be sure to order one of the breakfast items when you come in the morning and you will not regret it, ever. The choices include Ultimate Meat Lover’s Breakfast with two eggs, hickory-smoked bacon strips, ham steak, and sausage links; Rise and Shine with two eggs in any style you like; and Classic Breakfast with two eggs, bacon strips, sausage patties, and sausage links, to name a few choices.
- Desserts include strawberry crepes served with cream cheese, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream, as well as hash browns; French toast combo with four pieces of French toast and two eggs in your preferred style; and buttermilk pancake combo and Belgian waffle combo. You should always have room for dessert at Bakers Square.
- Omelets and frittatas are also available. These are served with your choice of either fresh fruit or hash browns, as well as your choice of buttermilk pancakes, toast, bakery muffin, English muffin, or biscuit. The choices include Pepper Jack Benedict and Eggs Benedict.
But why just enjoy these breakfast items in the morning? Breakfast can be any time of the day that a Bakers Square restaurant is open! You can also order salads, soups and burgers, especially The Works Burger because it’s just so good. The Works Burger has crispy bacon strips, American cheese slices, grilled mushrooms and garlic-grilled onions, topped with the chain’s signature sauce.
The Bakers Square takes reservations, especially for groups, as well as offer dine-in and takeout services; catering services aren’t offered yet. The restaurants have a casual attire dress code, which complements the casual and cozy atmosphere most times of the day. The wait staff are also friendly while still being efficient in taking and serving your orders, where necessary.
Even when you have kids in tow, you shouldn’t have big issues since the facilities are kid-friendly, especially the restrooms. You will find the family groups to be an indication that the chain is among the more family-friendly chains in town.
