In 1984, CentraArchy Restaurant Management Company opened the first California Dreaming – The Restaurant and Bar located at Union Station in Columbia, South Carolina. Several locations soon followed with 19 restaurants (as of 2016) now in operation in South Carolina (Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, N. Myrtle Beach, and Surfside Beach), Georgia (Duluth and Kennesaw), and Alabama (Spanish Fort). While each of these restaurants are run independently with most applying different concepts, the company manages all of them with a single mission statement – To operate distinctive restaurants where the staff members from the chefs in the kitchen to the servers in the dining area can create outstanding experiences exceeding the guests’ expectations. - Augusta’s restaurant has won Best Salad for several years including those awarded by Columbia County Magazine in 2014 and Augusta Magazine in 2015.
