History of Kona Grill

Kona Grill first opened in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1998 and was founded by Michael McDermott. McDermott had the idea of opening a restaurant that could cater to a large variety of customers which would be difficult if he was to stick with just one kind of cuisine. To fulfill this he decided to go with a restaurant that offered everything possible, from classic steaks to Japanese sushi, Hawaiian ribeye and traditional Jambalaya. It has proven to be a massive success and there are now over 35 locations in the United States and even in Puerto Rico.

As mentioned, Kona Grill is widely known for a varied menu so you can expect anything from American cuisine to Italian, Pacific Islander, Caribbean and Japanese food. However, the restaurant is also known for being the ideal choice for those undergoing lifestyle changes, diets and strict exercise regiments.
