History

The STK chain of restaurants is the primary restaurant brand of ONE Group, a well-known company in the restaurant industry.  The chain consists of numerous restaurants across the United States in cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Dallas, Orlando, San Diego, and Denver, as well as abroad in the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, and Dubai.

What They’re Known For

STK is considered as among the best steakhouses in the United States. As proof, it has been voted by OpenTable as one of the Top 100 Hot Spots in America and 100 Best Steakhouses in America. The new-style steakhouse features a chef-inspired menu, a bustling bar, and a relaxed yet polished dining atmosphere. The in-house DJ plays upbeat music that contributes to the sexy vibe.

As the management says it, the STK brand isn’t your grandmother’s idea of a steakhouse, far from it. The STK restaurants are about fun and flirty takes on the American steakhouse as we know it.

Why Eat Here

Keep in mind that STK restaurants are upscale dining establishments but with modern twists, many of which are unexpected but works so well we wonder why nobody thought of them before. Despite its upscale vibe – and, yes, the prices are upscale, too – the restaurants aren’t unpretentious, a feature that attracts even average Joes and Janes. Just remember to dress up in your Sunday best, in a manner of speaking, because of the dressy dress code.

The trendy ambiance starts as soon as you enter the restaurant. The interiors are beautifully decorated with cool, chic and contemporary coming to mind, while the overall vibe is a hoppin’ and poppin’ place, especially with the upbeat music in the background. Many of the diners come here for both the great food and the great place, which isn’t always possible in your regular steakhouses.

With the DJ playing the lively music and the crowd enjoying the drinks at the full bar, an STK restaurant will likely have a loud noise level. For this reason, it isn’t such a good place to bring your kids for quality time although we recommend bringing your family and friends here.

The customer service can only be described as wonderful! The waiters and waitresses are attentive, accommodating, and friendly while also being efficient in their jobs. The diners agree that the staff members are knowledgeable about the food and drinks on the menu so asking for recommendations is an easy job for them.

Of course, an upscale steakhouse will not be an upscale steakhouse without the food and drinks to match. Every STK restaurant offers excellent quality steaks, seafood, and salads, among others.

The signature dishes are must-haves because these have been proven the best in flavors time and time again. The Day Boat Scallops consists of dry scallops served with Osetra caviar, potato cream, and pancetta braised kale, a savory start to your meal. The Lil BRGs are made of two Wagyu beef patties topped with Japanese pickles, cheese, onions, and a special sauce sandwiched between sesame seed buns; these can be served with foie gras and/or black truffles for extra dollars.

The Tuna Tartare is a great choice for people who may not be into beef or seafood. The fresh tuna is complemented by the creamy avocado and crispy taro chips.

Every single ingredient is cooked to perfection so every bite is as delicious as the one before it. Before long, you have finished your entire meal while enjoying the trendy ambiance, the friendly people, and the lively music.  You will even likely linger after your meal is finished by ordering more drinks from the full bar.

The extensive menu also contains several types of salads, such as the Burrate with marinated heirloom tomatoes, the Tuscan Kale Salad with its truffle pecorino, and the Garden Salas with mixed greens and olive tapenade.  There are also several starters, such as the Beef Tartare with Italian capers, truffle croutons, and poached quail egg; the Pan Seared Sea Scallop with summer corn, upland cress. And pickled peppers; and the Grilled Spanish Octopus with fresno chiles, heirloom tomatoes, and Peruvian purple potatoes.

For dessert, we recommend the warm cookies and ice cream cones.

The STK restaurants also accepts reservations but these don’t usually accept delivery and takeout orders.  Cash and credit cards are accepted for payments but not bitcoins and Apple Pay.
