History
Salah Izzedin, Leila Izzedin and Salim Asrawi established Texas De Brazil in 13 October 1998 with the first location in Addison, Texas. Their vision was a Brazilian-American churrascaria with a menu that combined the cuisines of Texas and southern Brazil. The result: Steakhouses that offer the best of Texas-style meats served in the Brazilian way.
Today, the company’s headquarters are in Dallas, Texas.
What It’s Famous For
Texas De Brazil is rightfully famous for its deliciously flavorful seasoned and roasted meats including various cuts of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and Brazilian sausages. The cuts of meat is grilled over an open flame grill, which enhances its natural flavors while also giving it a perfect sear on top. The gauchos, servers dressed as traditional Brazilian cowboys, bring the meats individually to the diner’s table.
Unlike traditional churrascarias, Texas De Brazil restaurants don’t serve chicken hearts but their dessert selection is good.
Why Eat Here
Texas De Brazil delivers on its promise of the best grilled meats this side of town – every cut is as juicy, succulent and tender as its appears on the skewer as well as flavorful with every bite. While there’s a melt in your mouth quality in the meats, you will also enjoy a satisfying chew – the perfect balance every meat lover wants in his steak.
You have a choice of at least a dozen cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and sausage, which means that you have to come with an empty stomach so as to get your fill in every meal. You will likely agree that the filet and sirloin are the showstoppers, too.
You can add healthy sides to the meal, such as vegetable salads and sides. Keep in mind, however, that the sides should complement the meats instead of overpowering them for a great dining experience. The cold selections are great, too, so you have to be careful about indulging in them and leaving little room for the main course.
As for the service, the Texas De Brazil wait staff are obviously well-trained in their job. Your first impression will be of attentive, efficient and courteous gauchos who will serve your meats in a way that heightens your experience in the restaurant.
Plus, the relaxed atmosphere with the diners a mix of couples, groups and families also adds to the chain’s appeal.
