History
Tony Roma opened his first self-named restaurant in 1972 in North Miami. Originally, Tony Roma’s was just a small restaurant that offers steaks and hamburgers until Chef David Smith introduced grilled baby back ribs basted with their very own BBQ sauce. Since then they’ve become a popular place that serves really good, tender and tasty baby back ribs. In 1980, they opened new stores along with their first international location in Tokyo, Japan. This venture opened doors for them to further expand in other global locations. Forty years later, TR isn’t just rib place anymore; through the years, they have been innovating new menu items to cater to a broader market. They have also introduced new design concepts for their location to meet the ever-changing taste of their customers.
What They’re Famous For?
Although they introduced new items to their menu like premium cut steaks and fresh seafood entrées, their award-winning baby back ribs remained to be the primary reason for patrons to visit them. Here are some of Tony Roma’s best sellers:
- The Original Baby Back Ribs – tender and flavorful pork back ribs well-seasoned, slow smoked and grilled to perfection then basted with TR’s famous BBQ sauce or your choice of sauce. Served with fresh coleslaw and French fries.
- Louis Ribs – larger and meatier pork loin richly seasoned with selected special spices, slow smoked and grilled to perfection then basted with TR’s famous sauce or your choice of sauce. Served with coleslaw and fries on the side.
- Bountiful Beef Ribs – USDA choice beef back ribs well seasoned with special spices mix, slow smoked and grilled to fall-of-the-bones perfection then basted with TR’s original BBQ sauce or your choice of sauce. Served with fresh coleslaw and fries.
